Preserve the beauty and effectiveness of your wooden brushes and combs

The first step to good maintenance is regular cleaning. Residues of hair products, dust and dead cells can accumulate between bristles and teeth. It is advisable to clean your brush or comb at least once a week, also to prevent your hair from getting dirty ahead of time.

  • Remove hair trapped between bristles and teeth (this is recommended after each use, a habit that will keep the brush and comb cleaner and hygienic longer). You can do this simply with your fingers or with the help of a comb or an awl.
  • Rinse your hairbrush under lukewarm running water with the teeth side down, never letting it soak.
  • Proceed by creating an emulsion with mild soap and water or your usual shampoo (we do not recommend any sanitizer or homemade mixtures) and start soaping your hairbrush. Help yourself with a toothbrush to better clean between the teeth, scrub gently so as not to ruin the natural gum.
  • Rinse again under lukewarm running water and, with the brush pointing downward, apply a little pressure on the teeth to flush any residual water from the air hole.
  • Let your brush dry on a clean cloth with the teeth facing down, away from heat sources to prevent deformation or damage.

Taking care of your own wooden brushes and combs not only prolongs its life, but also ensures that they continue to provide maximum benefits to your hair. A little care and maintenance can make a big difference, helping you keep your hair care accessories as new as ever.
